Helene's research interests are parenthood and childhood in consumer culture, including food and eating. She has published several books and anthologies in this field. Her most recent publication is the book "Hem till McDonald's" (Home to McDonald's) about parents and children dining at McDonald's. She is the editor, with Karin M. Ekström and Magnus Mörck, of "Little Monsters. (De)Coupling Assemblages of Consumption", and with Karin M. Ekström of "Elusive Consumption". Helene has been the leader of several large projects at CFK, including Commercial Cultures 2001-2005 and The Multi-dimensional Food Consumer 2004-2007. At the moment she is directing Sustainable Eating Children's way (in Swedish: BAMM), she is in charge of the Swedish part of the Nordic co-operation Beauty comes from within, and is, together with Barbro Johansson, CFK's representatives in FoBoNet, a Nordic network for research on socio-cultural perspectives on food, body and health.
